Our approach to nutrition

At The Willow Centre, our nutritional therapy sessions are designed to help you feel more energised, balanced, and confident in your body - wherever you are on your health journey.

We take a gentle, whole-person approach that blends evidence-based nutrition with compassion, helping you make meaningful, sustainable changes that last.

Our nutrition services also include specialist support for individuals and families navigating autism, ADHD, or other neurodivergent needs - offering practical strategies to help improve energy, focus, digestion, and overall wellbeing.

You often feel tired or low in energy throughout the day.

You experience digestive discomfort such as bloating or irregularity.

You find it difficult to manage your weight despite your best efforts.

You feel unsure what foods truly support your body amidst conflicting advice.

Your mood, focus, or energy levels are affected by what you eat.

You’re seeking support for a specific health concern or life stage, such as fertility or pregnancy.

You’d like to build a calmer, more balanced relationship with food.

You’re supporting a child with autism, ADHD, or selective eating and want to make mealtimes easier and more nourishing.

If any of these resonate, our personalised nutrition support can help you reconnect with your body (and your family’s needs) in a way that feels kind, practical, and empowering.

How it works

1. Initial Consultation
A relaxed one-hour session to explore your health history, goals, and relationship with food. Together, we identify what’s working, what’s not, and what you’d like to change.

2. Personalised Assessment
Your nutritional therapist takes a whole-person approach - looking at nutrition, lifestyle, sensory needs, and family context to understand what’s happening beneath the surface.

3. Tailored Nutrition Plan
You’ll receive a practical plan designed for real life. We focus on small, sustainable changes rather than strict rules or restrictions - helping you find balance with food and confidence in your body.

4. Ongoing Support
Regular follow-ups provide motivation, accountability, and continued education so you feel supported every step of the way.

Kind Words From Clients

Wow, what can I say! Working with Anni was transformative. I finally had someone spend time asking and listening to my very serious problems that are often not taken seriously by medical professionals. Working with Anni allowed me to understand my cycle and how diet affects my health.

I cannot recommend Anni enough! When I was going through IVF, I felt so overwhelmed. Anni provided invaluable guidance on supplements and nutrition tailored specifically to my needs. She was compassionate, understanding, and created a plan tailored to my specific needs. After much heartache and failed attempts, I'm now 14 weeks pregnant from my first IVF transfer since starting with Anni. I'm so grateful for her help and highly recommend her to anyone on their fertility/IVF journey.

Anni has been an absolute lifeline for me. When I was going through an incredibly difficult time with endo flare ups, she was there to offer her guidance and support... Anni's compassionate approach and practical steps truly made a difference in my life.

FAQs

I've tried diets before and they haven't worked. How is this different? Our approach is not about restrictive dieting or quick fixes. We focus on creating sustainable and enjoyable eating habits that support your long-term health and well-being. Our nutritionists work with you to understand your relationship with food, address any underlying issues, and develop a personalised plan that fits your lifestyle. We emphasise education and empowerment, so you can make informed choices for life.

I'm a picky eater and I have a lot of dietary restrictions. Can you still help me? Absolutely. Our nutritionists are experienced in working with a wide range of dietary preferences and restrictions, including allergies and intolerances. We will work with you to develop creative and practical strategies to ensure you are meeting your nutritional needs while still enjoying your food. Personalisation is key to our approach.

I don't have any major health problems. Is seeing a nutritionist still beneficial for me? Yes, absolutely. Nutrition isn't just about addressing health problems, it's also about optimising your overall wellbeing, preventing future health issues, improving energy levels, enhancing mood, and supporting a healthy lifestyle. Our nutritionists can provide guidance on making informed food choices to help you feel your best, even if you don't have any specific medical concerns. Think of it as an investment in your long-term health and vitality.

How many nutrition sessions will I need? The number of nutrition sessions varies greatly depending on your individual needs and preferences. Some individuals who are confident in their ability to implement a plan independently may find that just 2-3 sessions spaced out every couple of months are sufficient for guidance and check-ins. Others highly value the accountability and ongoing support that regular coaching provides and may opt for more frequent bi-weekly sessions. During your initial consultation, your nutritionist will discuss your goals, your preferred level of support, and your confidence in implementing changes on your own. Based on this, we can create a personalised plan that suits your individual needs and budget. We are flexible and can adjust the frequency of sessions as you progress and your needs evolve. Our aim is to empower you to achieve your health goals in a way that feels sustainable and supportive for you.
